WORKSHOP: The Secrets of Summer Leaves

Explore the printing potential of summer leaves and flowers, in a relaxing and inspiring workshop at my home in south Liverpool.

After an inital introduction to the principles and practice of botanical contact ['eco'] printing, you will explore the printing potential of different summer leaves, and ways to enhance their definition and colour.

Whilst having fun in a small group in a relaxed environment, you will learn about differences between leaves and why they differ in their ability to make prints. Having printed some samples, you will print at least one piece of peace silk large enough for a scarf*, and at least one stack of papers.

Participant numbers for this workshop are restricted to five. Given the small size of the group, there will be plenty of time for detailed tuition and discussion. 

All materials [worth £30], tea and coffee all day and a light vegetarian lunch are included in the workshop fee. If you prefer, you may bring your own lunch.

** you may print on linen if you prefer plant-based fabric. PLEASE LET ME KNOW so that I can prepare the fabric for you
