About the event
Enjoy a relaxing and inspiring day at my home in south Liverpool.  You will explore the potential to print eucalyptus leaves and onion skins  sustainably by [1] steaming and  [2] in a 'dirty' dye pot which is rich in eucalyptus, other tannins and iron and creates wonderfully complex backgrounds.
Suitable for beginners or those with some eco printing experience, you will learn how to make a dye pot rich in tannins, with onion skins, eucalyptus, vinegar and iron. Â You will print at least one piece of fine wool or peace silk large enough for a small scarf, and at least one stack or roll of papers.Â
As participant numbers are restricted to five, there will be plenty of time for discussion and to forage and enjoy the surrounding plants and trees. Normally, my workshops need three participants to run.Â
All necessary materials [worth £30] will be prepared and are included in the workshop fee, which also includes a light vegetarian lunch and refreshments all day.
You can purchase extra pieces of cloth to print if you wish, on the day.
