Silk ponge 5 scarf hand dyed with yellow onion skins, ne maki shibori style [SC72]. 
 
An object [in this case, a small marble] is placed under the scarf before dyeing, and bound in with string which then acts as a resist during the dyeing process. The result is a pretty pattern of white, undyed squares.
