About the event

Explore the printing potential of late summer leaves in a relaxing and inspiring introductory workshop in the magical environment of the Grade II* listed Palm House in Sefton Park, Liverpool.

After being introduced to the basic principles and practice of botanical contact ['eco'] printing, you will explore the printing potential of late summer leaves, and ways to enhance the definition of your leaves and prints.

Whilst having fun in an enchanting environment, you will learn about differences between leaves and why they differ in their ability to make prints. Having printed some samples with different leaves, you will print at least one piece of silk large enough for a scarf, and at least one stack of papers.

There will be plenty of time for discussion and to soak up the lovely environment of the Palm House. Participant numbers for the workshop are restricted to maximise your experience and enable social distancing if necessary.

All materials for the workshop [worth £25] are included in the workshop fee.

Tea and coffee will be provided all day. There is a cafe at the Palm House where you can buy specialist teas and coffees, snacks and a light lunch [or you can bring your own].
