Workshops

 

 

 

Maggie offers workshops which give an introduction to botanical printing on fabric and on paper. Her workshops are hosted by other organisations and offered to the public, or are provided by arrangement for a group.

 

Maggie has held workshops at Sefton Park Palm House, Liverpool (February and May, 2019) and at Cedar Farm Gallery, near Ormskirk (two workshops in May 20§9). Due to demand and very positive evaluations, both venues have asked Maggie to offer further workshops. 

Maggie's next  workshops are:

 

SATURDAY, 12 OCTOBER 2019, 10.30am - 4.30pm​  NOW SOLD OUT!

  • Introduction to Botanical ('Eco') Printing

    • At a fabulous National Trust property, Speke Hall, The Walk, Liverpool L24 1XD 

    • You will learn the basic principles of  botanical/'eco' printing, and print a silk scarf, a stack of papers and a tote bag or piece of cotton cloth.

    • Price £70, including materials [worth over £10], entrance to the National Trust grounds, a guided walk with Speke Hall's Head Ranger and tea and coffee throughout the day 

    • You can bring your own lunch or buy it at Speke Hall's cafe

In response to early popular demand for the Saturday course, the same workshop will also run on 

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13TH 2019, 10.30am - 4.30pm

THURSDAY, 17 OCTOBER 2019, 5.30pm - 9.30pm

  • More Botanical ('Eco') Printing .. A Spanner in the Works

    • The Palm House, Sefton Park, Liverpool L17 1AP 

    • Having already learnt the basic principles of  botanical/'eco' printing, you will explore the use of tannins and irons, and print a silk scarf.

    • Price £35 plus £10 materials and booking fee
